We have events scheduled all year for Cache Valley Disc Golf so mark your calendars now so you can hit all the best events. This calendar includes all the Cache Valley events we know about, plus a few other events nearby that are portions of local series.
This is a specialty event where you can only throw the Gateway Wizards you receive in your player pack. There is also a one day only option where for $20 you can play one day.
April 1st: Next Generation Tour Qualifier – Cache County Fairgrounds
This is one of 108 qualifiers around the country in the largest ever Amateur tournament. The top 12 finishers will qualify for regionals in Colorado. Top regional finishers will qualify for the National Championships where they will compete for a new car.
This is the first event in Steve Suhaka’s series one round events. It will be PDGA sanctioned and is open to amateur as well as professional players.
April 22nd: Pureline Riverpark – Riverpark
This is a PDGA sanctioned tournament at Lake Walcott state park in Rupert Idaho. This is one of seven events in the Snake River Series.
May 27th – Pureline Idaho Falls (Freeman Park)
May 27th/28th Utah Open Amateur Weekend – Mulligans
This is a professional tournament that is part of the Disc Golf Pro Tour. This will be the biggest tournament ever in Utah. Come watch the top disc golf professionals in the world compete against a few of our local pros.
June 10th – Trilogy Challenge
This is a fun specialty disc designed to introduce newer players to discs made by Latitude 64, Dynamic Discs, and Westside Discs. All players get an impressive players pack with three discs and a bunch of other discs.
June 17th – Pureline Creekside – Creekside Park
June 24th – Lucy’s Open SNS- Freeman Park, Idaho Falls
This PDGA event sponsored by Lucy’s pizza provides a great player pack, excellent payout, and Lunch provided by Lucy’s. It is also part of the Snake River Series.
July 1st – Pureline Idaho
July 8th – Doppelganger Headbanger – This is a super fun doubles tournament played at the easiest layout you will ever see at the Mulligan’s at Creekside disc golf course in Ogden.
July 14-15th – SE Idaho Invitational
July 22nd – Pureline Roots
July 24th – Logan City Pioneer Day Tournament – Cache County Fairgrounds
Registration begins at 1:30 with the tournament beginning at 3:00.
July 29th – Cherry Peak Grand Opening
This will be a one round 24 hole tournament that will give you an opportunity for players of all skill level to try out the new Cherry Peak Mountain disc golf course. The tournament will feature tee times where you will take the ski lift to the top of the Mountain and play down hill. The final hole is more than 800 feet, but the basket can potentially be reached in one shot!
This event is designed for both competitive as well as new and recreational players. All recreational players will receive a player pack worth more than the registration fee. Rec players may choose from two Cherry Peak stamped disc, or a three disc starter set!
August 5th – Massacre Rocks (Snake River Series)
August 12th – Beam Lending Davis County Open C-Tier
This PDGA Sanctioned tournament will be held at the DATC course. Amateur players get an incredible player pack!
This is a specialty event designed to introduce newer players to MVP discs. All players receive a players pack valued at more than $65 and get a chance to compete for additional prizes.
August 26th – Nordic Center, Pocatello Idaho – SNS / Pureline Taylorsville
September 2nd – Pureline Soda Springs – Soda Springs, Idaho
This is the premier disc golf tournament in Cache Valley. This all day PDGA sanctioned tournament sponsored by Infinite Discs always sells out quickly.
This is a specialty event sponsored by Discraft where the objective is to get Aces (holes in one). Like the Trilogy Challenge and MVP Circuit, everyone who plays this event will receive a players pack worth well more than the entry fee. This is a fun event that puts a different twist on the way you play disc golf.
September 30th – Three Island Crossing SNS Championship
October 7th – Pureline Championship – Sherwood Hills
This event will be PDGA sanctioned and will serve as the finale for both the Utah and Idaho Pureline series. There will be awards for the actual tournament as well as for series winners.
October 14th – Providence City Tournament – Von Baer Park
This disc golf tournament is sponsored by Providence City as part of their Sauerkraut Festival. This event will be used as a fundraiser to help get better teepads for the Blind Gulley Disc Golf Course.
