League Time is Wednesday at 5:45 at the Fairgrounds through the end of May.
***Note*** DUE TO WEATHER, April 15th League has been moved to Saturday April 18th at 10:30am.
For Spring League we are doing things a little bit differently than in the past. This league session is sanctioned by the PDGA, which means that the rules will be a little more strict. You must use a mini marker to mark your lie (can’t just flip the disc), smoking is not allowed, and general PDGA rules are to be followed.
This also means that rounds will receive PDGA ratings. The PDGA rating is a fun way to track your improvement, and compare your skills with disc golfers all over the world. You don’t have to be a PDGA member to participate in league play, but you do have to be an active PDGA member to get a number and rating. There will also be bonus prizes for active PDGA members who participate.
Handicap League
The other thing different about this league session compared with the past is that there will be no divisions. Once a player has participated in 2 rounds, they will have an established handicap. The handicap will include up to your 5 most recent league rounds. This handicap levels the playing field so that anyone can be competitive against anyone else.
Here are the current league averages and handicaps:
Cost
Cost is still $5 per league session with an optional $1 Ace Pot. $1 per person of each entry fee goes to the PDGA to cover the PDGA sanctioning fee. There is also at least one CTP prize each week for all club members who bring a bag tag.
The top 40% scores after handicap will be payed out each week. Players may elect to receive cash, or a 20% higher payout in Infinite Bucks.
